For the Purpose of This Post…
let’s assume that my youngest son’s name is Levi. Of course, that isn’t really his name. His name isn’t the point of this post but having a name is important for the example. And I’m a wee bit paranoid about people that I don’t know knowing my son’s name. On to the conversation which happens to be an example of the egocentric tendencies of this 3 year old.

This is a conversation that we have multiple times per day. Usually, I’m praising his sweetness, preciousness, etc.

Me: Levi, you are so sweet!
L: (said at a yell) No! I not so sweet….I’M SO LEVI!!!!!!!!
Me: So you’re not sweet?
L: (said in a normal voice, like, matter-of-factly, duh) No I not so sweet. I’m so Levi.

At least he knows who he is. It is funny how three year olds KNOW what 30 year olds ponder. Don’t you think?
