Yahoo, the power is back on! I really missed it. We were without power for two and a half days…and man, it sure seemed like longer. Thankfully, the weather was cooler and rainy, so we didn’t burn up without the air-conditioning. It came back on this morning and so we worked to catch up on everything for the rest of the day. My oldest three boys were having a visit from their school teachers at four p.m. and lots of stuff had to be done to get this place looking better for that. So, now the house is clean and the visit is over. I did like the quiet of having no power and I had forgotten how much I like sleeping with the window open. And, I thought that we did well without having the power as a diversion — in the form of computer, xbox, dvd player and tv. But it is nice to have the choice of a diversion, once again. Ahhhh, electricity. Thanks a bunch, y’all !

Yahoo, the power is back on! I really missed it. We were without power for two and a half days…and man, it sure seemed like longer.
